Drive-through church

Thanks to Endangeredspecieschurch for this link

About Terri C Pilarski

I am an Episcopal priest serving a delightfully progressive, interesting, creative congregation. I have been married more than half my life to the same man. We have two grown children, plus two dogs and two cats, although the number of four legged household members changes from time to time. I love to garden, knit, read, and play on Facebook or with my blog. I have been a practitioner of daily meditation since I was nineteen. I practice yoga five days a week and walk every where I am able too.

First reaction: this is just too funny!Second reaction: this is just too true.Third reaction: it makes me kind of sad to realize that.

HCL – it shows folks going through a drive – through and requesting what kind of church they want: “I want to leave right after the sermon…” “I want a cry room with a leather chair and lots of kids games, and no veggie-tales, those songs get stuck in my head and make me crazy…” etc. to which there is reply, “Certainly”…as preacher mom says, it’s hilarious, it reflects way too much truth, and it’s kinda sad…no community, just my church, what I want when I want it…

  8. Diane says:

WOW… worth trying to learn how to do videos for…LOL hilariousand actually, a little sadconsumer church

  9. Diane says:

Mompriest, maybe I can learn it too soon.

  10. Kievas says:

Hilarious…reminds me of a skit at our former church: “McJesus”.

  11. mompriest says:

diane, if you go to the YouTube websiste it walks you through how to register with them and then walks you through how to add a “video clip” to your blog – it was really easy. Took a little time, but not too much.

  12. Diane says:

there’s a youtube website??? ok, I’ll try it … as soon as things ease up a bit.

  13. Diane says:

oh, I couldn’t find the “how to add a video clip to your blog” part when i registered.

  14. mompriest says:

Know that you have registered you can go to YouTube and do a search for “Drive-through church” and that should take you to this one. Then it talks you through how to link it. Actually it links itself when you follow certain steps. I think you can also search for any clip on a topic and see what comes up, or a hymn or song….although this is my first so, I’m not sure….
